BiPolar Time-of-Flight Detectors for Mass Spectrometry

High speed BiPolar Time-of-Flight detectors for mass spectrometry applications offer sensitivity, temporal resolution, dynamic range and high mass detection. They are available in 18-, 25- and 40-mm diameter detection area versions and provide up to 10-kV post acceleration. All versions use proprietary Extended Dynamic Range small pore Microchannel Plates (MCPs) with high channel densities. The detector is enclosed in a low profile assembly combining a highly sensitive Microchannel Plate and electro-optically isolated output signal. It is available for flight tube mounting or on a conflat flange. The detector features MountingPad MCP to provide a flat and robust MCP. The MCP input surface can be biased up to 䔮 kV to enhance detection of high mass positive or negative ions. In addition, a proprietary enhancement coating is added to the ion conversion surface for greater conversion efficiency. The detector offers system gains up to 107 and superior temporal bi-polar resolution.
